What Wit Was: Newborn Navel

To reduce or prevent infection at the site of the infant’s navel umbilical cord incision:

  1. Select and cut a piece of 100% white cotton cloth (t-shirt, sheet, unfinished fabric from the store, etc.)
  2. Scorch the fabric with an iron.
  3. Place the scorched fabric onto the navel/cut-cord area.
  4. Secure the piece with an abdominal band or by gently wrapping the belly with a separate torn cloth.
  5. Keep dry. Residual clipped end should dry up and fall off within a couple of days. Results may vary.

What Wit Was: Gallstones

To dissolve gallstones naturally, drink a mixture of unfiltered apple juice and olive oil for at least 3 days.

Note: This could send you on a smooth-move ~journey~. So, take care and prepare.

What Wit Was: Fever

To draw out a fever:

  1. Cut a piece of white cotton cloth (t-shirt, sheet, remnant, etc.
  2. Slice a couple of Irish potatoes.
  3. Slice a common onion.
  4. Wrap the cloth around the potato and onion slices.
  5. Crush the contents within the cloth to cause it to leak through the cloth onto the skin
  6. Tie it around the belly (abdomen), neck, or head (the location of the fever).

This may be worn during sleep. If successful, potatoes, onions, and rag cloth will turn black.
